AERCE is the national association representing purchasing and materials management professionals in Spain. The aim of this professional association is to transmit knowledge and experience, publish information and provide training and guidance on all aspects of purchasing, supply and materials management, and to carry out research in this field.

AERCE is a founding member of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), an organisation comprising 43 National Purchasing Associations worldwide.

AERCE also belongs, since its inception, to the European Council of Purchasing and Supply (ECPS), which groups together the National Associations of Purchasing and Supply Managers of Europe.

AERCE is a founding member of the European Centre for Research in Purchasing and Supply ERPS) in Vienna, Austria.

AERCE works with the International Trade Centre (UNCTAD/WTO), the official body of the United Nations based in Geneva, to provide training and professional development opportunities in the area of supply chain management in developing countries, and in the creation and promotion of national purchasing and supply associations in such countries.

AERCE is an independent and non-political organisation working for the common good.
